THEY HEARD A CRY SOMEWHERE WHILE THEY ARE WALKING BUT WHEN THEY FOUND IT, IT'S A BABY!

A group of women passing by a bush heard the cries of what they thought were puppies, but upon inspection, they found two abandoned baby girls.

According to various media reports, in Curitiba, in the southern Brazilian state of Parana, a group of women found a pair of newborn baby twin girls, with their umbilical cords still attached, in a bush.

The babies seemed to have been abandoned shortly after birth. One girl weighed 6 pounds (approx. 3 kg), and the other girl weighed 3.7 pounds (approx. 2 kg).

“I thought they were a dog and when I looked at them I realized they were two babies,” said Tamela Ribeiro, one of the women who found the babies.

Guilherme Zasevski Almeida, a police spokesman, said that the officers believe the babies were abandoned by someone in a white van.

The babies are currently in a stable condition, and hospital staff have named them Eloa and Helosia. The twins will be transferred to a care facility for adoption after they start to gain weight.
