JUDY ANN SANTOS- AGONCILLO SECRETS ON SPENDING WHICH KEPT THEIR FAMILY STABLE

Judy Ann Santos made an unforgettable statement about how she and husband Ryan Agoncillo would budget their earnings.

She said in a witty, "Ang pera ko, pera ko; ang pera niya, pera ko pa rin!

“Ibibigay niya sa akin lahat ng suweldo niya, bibigyan ko lamang siya ng five hundred pesos allowance a week!"

Fast-forward to present time, in an interview with PEP.ph they asked the country's Teleserye Queen if her statement about her and Ryan’s earnings still holds true.

The 39-year-old Judy Ann quickly answered, “No, wala iyan.”

Judy Ann admitted that she and Ryan are both generous when it comes to handling their finances.

Calling Ryan by his moniker, Judy Ann explained, “Sa amin ni Ry, nagwo-work yung merong, of course, monthly allowance for the whole household.

“But, hindi ko ugali tanungin kung anong income niya. Ganun din siya sa akin.

“As long as he provides for the family, whatever he wants to buy for himself, he can buy it.

“Ayoko nang nagpipigil ng mga tao.”

What matters, Judy Ann said, is that they are both responsible in spending their money.

She elaborated, “As a wife, I will support him with whatever that would make him happy.

“Ganun din naman siya sa akin. As long as hindi nagla-lapse yung monthly responsibilities, ok lang.”

Since her "dalaga" days, Judy Ann recalled that she has never been "maluho" even when she was already earning a lot as one of ABS-CBN's prized stars.

“Hmm... Hindi ako maluho kasi wala akong time.

“Sa totoo, ha? Mas gusto ko magtrabaho kasi mas nag-e-enjoy ako na nakikita ko yung mga tatay-tatayan ko sa trabaho, nakakasama ko sila.

“Excited ako kapag may mga bago akong artista na nakakatrabaho, kasi bago ako nun, e.

“Fan ako, kaya kapag nagkukuwentuhan sila, nakikinig talaga ako.”

At the time, Judy Ann said she would rather buy necessities for her taping days.

She added, “Maluho ako sa lampin, sa cologne, sa wet ones—mababaw ang kaligayahan ko.”

Judy Ann maintained that she is not into impulse buying.

“Siyempre, kapag may nakikita kang branded—kapag bata, medyo naiinggit ka—uso pa nun Girbaud, Polo Ralph Lauren...yung mga sapatos na ganyan.

“Kapag nakita mo, ang ganda pala sa paa. Pero kapag nakita mo yung presyo, hindi pala siya maganda! Hahaha!”

Thrifty by nature, Judy Ann explained, “Kasi inisip ko, aapakan ko lang araw-araw, parang medyo ang sakit sa puso.

“Hanap na lang ako ng kapareho niya—only because my budget was limited.”

But Judy Ann said that she also rewards herself after a hard work.

“Kasi believer ako ng you work hard, you play a bit hard, but you still keep something for yourself,” she concluded.

This is a kind of couple whose priority is the welfare of their family. Not the typical celebrity couple who uses impulse buying. The kind of family which everyone adores.
